Milltown's Gemstone Mine Sluice offers all the excitement of panning for semi-precious gemstones in a sluiceway of rushing water similar to the gold rush days.
Pour a little mixing material into the sifter and swish under the rushing water. As the water washes the rough away you will find up to 20 gemstones.
Over 40 different gemstones and minerals are available to be uncovered. Varieties of gemstones include quartz, amethyst points, red jasper, emerald calcite, ruby, crystal point, peacock ore and even an arrowhead. Thirty-two varieties of genuine fossils can also be found.
Whatever you find is yours to keep!
